ONE-ON-ONE MATH &/OR READING TUTORING (Youth 7-12 yrs) Session 2: Nov. 27 – Feb. 2, 2018 (No tutoring 12/18 – 1/1) Monday-Thursday, Limited Saturday mornings (Once a week*) Registration: If interested in this program, pick-up a registration packet at our Front Desk, to complete and return. Registration is on a first come basis. Due to the popularity of the program, a spot in the program cannot be guaranteed. Time: After School & Early evening, Limited Saturday morning openings. Times scheduled on an individual basis for once a week. Admittance & scheduled time is based on availability & number of tutors. Cost: $25 One-on-one tutoring is among the most common types of instructional programs. This type of tutoring allows the tutor to structure the approach and schedule to the individual student’s needs rather than his or her peers. Children may also feel less self-conscious or embarrassed because they aren’t struggling with math problems or reading in front of other children. This type of tutoring also works well for shy students who prefer working with someone older and for facing specific issues that need to be addressed immediately. The Center offers One-On-One tutoring for students ages 7 – 12 years in Math and/or Reading. Students typically meet with the same tutor in after school hours for 45 minutes once a week for 8 weeks. Program is popular and space is limited. For questions or to register, contact Kim at 482-1000 or kschubring@bayviewcenter.org.
