In addition to those listed above, the FRC also partners with community organizations near and far to offer themed programming for youth and families! These typically are free programs that require families to RSVP, and may occur weekly, bi-weekly, or once per month.

Ms. Megan from the Bay View Public Library provides a FREE themed presentation for children ages 0-5! Megan smartly provides appropriate read-alouds for her group and transitional activities to “get the wiggles out,” such as music and motion, dancing with sensory toys, and puppet play.

The class ends with an optional themed sensory activity facilitated by the Family Resource Center. Finally, the FRC now provides FREE books for the first 15 families registered!

New info for 2024!

A group for ALL teens, that especially welcomes those who are neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, or allies. Teens ages 14-18 are welcome to join us Tuesdays from 4:00pm-5:30pm, alternating between in-person and virtual! (See upcoming sessions below)

In-person sessions will always include games, snacks, and art surrounding a central theme! Virtual weeks will feature Minecraft and Roblox!

No advance registration is required to attend Teen Group – feel free to join us for any session. Please contact Ari at ari@bayviewcenter.org for more info!

Activities will change depending on the interests of the participants. Participants should be between the ages of 14-18, and be responsible enough to take care of themselves for the duration of the program.

Join Miss Holly for this free, drop-in hour of mindfulness activities for children ages 0-6 and their parents/caregivers! Holly is a psychologist and yoga instructor, offering the perfect fusion of expertise.

During Family Mindfulness sessions, Yoga and other mindfulness tools will be used to practice mind & body skills, find & build connections, and practice emotional regulation techniques.

These classes are a great way to bond with your child! Sessions include games, yoga poses, stories, crafts, and more!
