“I have better communication with my children and the way I discipline them has changed. I learned to demonstrate my love and will continue to practice all I’ve learned.” – Nurturing Parenting Participant
The community-based Nurturing Parenting Programs serve as a treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect. The program is facilitated at different locations – including La Causa, Doerfler Elementary, and South Division High School – where each location has a group of parents that are working to complete each of the Nurturing Parenting lessons.

- Communicating with Respect
- Building Self-Worth in Children
- Understanding Feelings
