Bay View Community Center is proud of its volunteer corps! Volunteers are the heart of our Center and our mission. Without these caring and dedicated individuals, we would not be here today.

In addition to the opportunities listed below, we have one-time event opportunities and custom volunteer positions determined by your interests, talents, and experience.

Emergency Food Pantry

Hours & Times arranged with the Food Pantry Coordinator. Assist with stocking shelves, sorting food donations, packing and distributing food, etc.

Food Pantry Hours

Tuesdays: 4:00pm-6:00pm

Wednesdays: 4:00pm-6:00pm

Fridays: 1:30pm-4:00pm

Community Gardeners

Help cultivate our garden at BVCC and our garden partner locations. BVCC is in partnership with both St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and Grace Presbyterian Church.

All produce is brought back to the Center for distribution

SSFM Token Exchangers

BVCC’s EBT Token Exchange booth at the South Shore Farmer’s Market allows individuals who receive food benefits to be able to use those benefits on fresh food directly from the farmers at the market! 
 
Volunteers help process credit, debit, and Quest card transactions.
